Flooring repairs & snagging
The small jobs, sorted fast
A burn mark, a patch of pet damage, a carpet that’s started to ripple, or a threshold strip that’s come loose. These are quick, inexpensive fixes if caught early, and we turn most of them around within a few days rather than treating them as a full replacement job.
What we can do for you
The different jobs we take on under flooring repairs & snagging, with straight answers to the questions we get asked most.
Patch repairs
Burns, stains and pet damage cut out and replaced with a matching offcut, invisible if we can source a close match, honest with you if we can’t.
- Damaged section cut out and replaced with matching carpet
- Offcuts sourced from the original roll where possible
- Straight advice if a patch won’t blend well enough to be worth it
- Most patch repairs completed within the visit
Re-stretching rippled carpet
Carpet that’s started to ripple or bag hasn’t worn out, it’s usually just come loose from the gripper. Re-stretching pulls it back tight without needing to replace it.
- Carpet re-stretched onto the existing gripper rod
- Ripples and loose patches pulled flat
- Usually completed in a single room in under an hour
- Far cheaper than a full replacement in most cases
Loose seams & trim strips
A lifting seam or a loose threshold strip between rooms is a trip hazard as much as an eyesore, and a quick job to put right properly.
- Loose or lifting seams re-joined and glued down
- Threshold and door trim strips refitted or replaced
- Carpet edges re-gripped where they’ve come away from the skirting
